The Hunter’s music community will come together this weekend for Dom Punch, the rugby union player badly injured in a game earlier this year.
More than a dozen bands will play at Maitland’s Grand Junction Hotel on Saturday from midday, win what’s billed as “an all ages day of family friendly music in support of Dom.”
27-year-old Dom dislocated two vertebrae in his neck during the Maitland Blacks’ second grade grand final in September. 3 months on, he’s in the spinal unit of a Sydney Hospital.
Ian Crawford, who’s helped pull the benefit together says the event will help raise funds for Dom’s ongoing long term care.
