There were ideal conditions at Nelson Bay for day one of the 10th annual Sail Port Stephens regatta.
A record number of boats have entered this year’s event, but today everyone was chasing Derek Sheppard’s ‘Black Sheep’ in division one, in the 15 nautical-mile race known as the Pub to Pub.
The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia entry is making its 10th straight appearance at Sail Port Stephens, which continues tomorrow.
