WOOLWORTHS BEGINS SHOPPING HOUR FOR ELDERLY AND PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY

Woolworths will open its doors only to the elderly and people with disabilities for an hour, starting tomorrow.

Most supermarkets across the country will open from 7am to 8am in reponse to vulnerable people missing out on essential items from coronavirus related panic buying.

Access will be granted if a shopper has a government issued concession card, and all other people will be able to shop after 8am.

Woolworths’ home delivery service and click and collect has also been temporarily suspended.

Supermarket chain IGA is considering rolling out a pensioners-and-seniors-only shopping hour.
