Incumbent Member for New England Tony Windsor says there’s no real race to be run between the two pre-selection nominees – with the end result a foregone conclusion.
“David’s come in to provide you know what will perceived to be some degree of competition. I don’t think there’s anybody realistically thinking that he’s going to win. This is about Joyce, not about anybody else.”
The local MP says he’s not concerned with who he’ll be facing.
“Democracy is democracy. I wouldn’t like to be up against Nelson Mandela. But, anything can happen in politics.”
