PREPARATIONS UNDERWAY FOR TWILIGHT MEET

More than 5,500 spectators are expected to pack Old Bar’s race track tomorrow, for the Taree Motorcycle Club’s Twilight Meet.

Preparations have begun for the event, which includes the inaugural Troy Bayliss Classic, run by the former local and three-time world superbike champion.

“The weekend’s come up really fast and all the guys, Taree Motorcycle Club, and a lot of people have put in a big effort. The track’s looking really great. I’ve never seen it in such a good condition.”

Pro riders from across the country will be in town for the meet, including local road racers Josh Hook and Damian Cudlin.

Racing action kicks off from 11am.
