ANIMALS ON THE ROAD
Rangers at Blackbutt Reserve have hit the road in an attempt to bring in some much-needed visitor money.
A specialised van, bought for them by Tomago Aluminium, today made its first school visit.
The rangers will be doing up to three such shows a week.
“Blackbutt’s future I guess involves education. We get a lot of schools going to Blackbutt, so now we’ve got the ability to go to schools, which is fantastic.”
A $3-million draft plan to make the council-owned reserve commercially viable went on display last week.
