Gosford Council is calling on the state government to play fair and allocate money for the upgrade of Central Coast Stadium.
It follows funding announcements for stadium upgrades in Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle.
Council says the coast missed out on hosting the Asian Cup due to the stadium’s capacity and wants to increase its size by 12,000 seats.
At least $30-million would be needed for an upgrade of the 15-year-old venue, which is council owned.
