BALLINA SEAGULLS REJOICE AS BARNESY REJOINS AS COACH

Ballina Seagulls Coach Greg Barnes has decided to strap on the boots for one more year.

Last year Barnes coached the first grade side to the premiership, breaking a 20 year drought for the club.

And when he announced his retirement at the end of 2013, it looked certain that a new coach would take the reigns.

Instead Barnes now has high hopes he can become the first coach in the club’s history to secure back to back premierships in the NRRRL.

But he could have a challenge on his hands come the 2014 season.

Key players Anthony Colman and Brian Kelly are both leaving the team to pursue careers with the Titans on the Gold Coast.
