Newcastle-based shipbuilder Forgacs has revealed plans to expand its business, after buying precision engineering company Broens.
It supplies specialised tools to joint strike fighter contractors.
Forgacs already has close ties to the navy, currently building modules for Australia’s new Air Warfare Destroyers.
The company says it’s just the first step in its plans for diversification, with the expansion allowing it to access more customers in Australia and overseas.
