It was bound to happen sooner or later – the D-I-Y boom has now hit the Tweed Coast.
Council recently approved a development application for a Masters hardware store.
It’ll be built in West Tweed – just off the Pacific Motorway on Parkes Road.
Mayor Barry Longland says it’ll create hundreds of jobs for the community.
“About 150 jobs when it’s fully running, and there’ll certainly be a lot more jobs than that during the construction of it.”
Developers haven’t yet revealed when they’ll start building the superstore.
