Newcastle Council is finally pushing ahead with a plan to officially put Honeysuckle and the Civic precinct on the map.
Councillors will vote on the idea, first raised nearly two years ago, to have suburbs called Honeysuckle and Civic.
A report says it would help to promote the areas to visitors.

The problems in Newcastle can hardly be solved by just renaming suburbs.
So much needs to be done to the dying city precinct. But what, and how, and by whom.?
