LAKE MACQUARIE COUNCIL OFFERS CASH TO GO GREEN

Lake Macquarie Council is offering incentives for businesses to go green, at a luncheon at Warners Bay today.

The meeting invites commercial property owners to consider upgrading their buildings, as council offers low-risk financing options to encourage sustainability.

Mayor Jodie Harrison says council supports any moves to make local businesses more environmentally friendly.

“Lake Macquarie City is NSW’s solar powerhouse for the second year running. This status indicates that the residents and businesses of Lake Macquarie are investing in sustainably powered solutions and reducing the mark we leave on the environment,” Cr Jodie Harrison, Mayor of Lake Macquarie, said.

Lake Macquarie Council is among various Sydney councils offering access to financing through Environmental Upgrade Agreements (EUAs).
