The Central Coast Crusaders have suffered an agonising overtime loss to The Illawarra Hawks.
It was the one that got away, with the home side leading by as much as 17-points in the third quarter.
But the Hawks prevailed, with Daniel Jackson scoring a game high 36-points; including 12 of 13 from the stripe, in a 97 to 83 victory.
The Crusaders now face the third-placed Maitland Mustangs at Bridgecoast Stadium on Saturday night.
