Experts say we’re unlikely to feel any aftershocks from an earthquake near Tamworth yesterday.
Early reports suggest the epicentre was near Piallamore.
Tremours from the magnitude 2.5 quake were felt as far away as Tamworth.
Geoscience Australia says it struck at 4.30pm, 18 kilometres underground.
There are no reports of major damage.
It’s the third earthquake recorded in the Tamworth region this year.
