A second person has been charged in relation to an arson attack at Port Macquarie in June last year.

The 42-year-old allegedly organised for a man to set fire to her business before claiming an insurance payout.

The Lake Cathie woman appeared before Port Macquarie local court today, where she received bail.

Two Port Macquarie businesses were destroyed by the fire.
