FIRST EVER INDIGENOUS ROUND FOR NEWCASTLE NETBALL

Newcastle netball has commemorated its first ever indigenous round.

Teams and umpires in the Greater Championship wearing special uniforms to mark the day.

BNC player Brooke Elers performed the acknowledgement of country.

On court, her team, BNC, were locked in a tight battle with Nova Queens Wharf Thunder.

Nova winning the match 40 to 37.

Wests Balance dominating Maryville Tavern – running out 32 point winners.

In the other matches – Souths Lions scored a big win over Wests Balance Two.

Forsythes thrashed Junction Hotel Stella.
