The man who died in a freak lawnmower accident at Ocean Shores on Tuesday has been identified as 66-year-old Clifford Jones.
Mr Jones was mowing a backyard adjoining the Ocean Shores Golf Course, when his ride-on mower slipped and fell into a creek, pinning him underneath.
He was reported missing on Tuesday afternoon after failing to turn up to a shift at the Mullumbimby RSL, sparking a land and air search.
A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
