STATE MP URGES FEEBACK ON CATHO PLANS

The state member for Swansea is encouraging residents concerned about the future of Catherine Hill Bay to lodge submissions with the Department of Planning.
The Rose Group has lodged fresh plans for a 554-lot subdivision, less than two months after the former mining town was declared the state’s second heritage town.
There are currently only 100 homes in the village.
Robert Coombs, who opposed the developer’s previous plans, says the planning process must be followed.
“Some new development out at Catherine Hill Bay is inevitable. What is not decided yet is what the new development will look like, how big it will be how many homes are there.”
