LIFELINE TUNCURRY STORE CLOSES AFTER 25 YEARS

After 25-years, the Lifeline store in Tuncurry will permanently close its doors on Friday.

The much loved, volunteer-run shop has been operating at a loss, prompting management to make the decision to shut it down.

“If we let this shop remain open then Lifeline would be having to prop that up with money, which would mean taking it away from our services.”

Volunteers were given a special send off today, one was even presented with an award, thanking her for 20-years of dedicated service.

Lifeline says the closure will not affect its crisis support services.
