MOREE COUNCIL WINS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

Moree Plains Shire council has received a prestigious award at the 2012 New South Wales Local Government Association conference in Dubbo.
Moree won an AR Bluett Memorial award for showing the greatest relative progress during the 2011/2012 financial year.
The trustees noted that Moree Plains Shire Council had battled a 10 year drought and two major floods and still managed to complete major infrastructure works, economic projects while maintaining a strong sense of community.
It’s the first time the council has won the award.
