A decision over the fate of Westbank Road will be made at tomorrow night’s Tamworth Council meeting.
The stretch of dirt road on the outskirts of Tamworth faces uncertainty once the Chaffey Dam upgrade is completed, with concerns it may flood the road.
An upgrade of the road could cost upwards of $6-million and council says there is no more funding available.
“We have approached both state and federal government for more money, to help us build that road but obviously there is no money there.”
Three options will be discussed.
