Warm and windy conditions across the New England region have seen fire permits suspended.
It means current permits held by residents within the Armidale, Uralla and Walcha local government areas are temporarily invalid.
Locals won’t be able to start bonfires or burn off areas while the ban is in place but the suspension is set to be reviewed next Monday.
