The Narrabri Eagles are still looking for a replacement for coach Todd Dunn, who stood down at the end of last season after leading the club to consecutive Tamworth AFL finals appearances.
With kick-off now less than two months away, senior players have taken matters into their own hands, running pre-season training themselves.
The club’s hoping to have a full-time coach in place soon, with the Eagles facing a tough away trip against defending premiers New England in round one.
