The ‘Save Armidale Mall’ group says a protest will still go ahead tomorrow as planned.
That’s despite Armidale Regional Council temporarily withdrawing its application to the state government for $3.3-million to redevelop the town’s mall.
The possible reintroduction of traffic to the mall proving a divisive issue, prompting council to put the brakes on any further decisions.
It’s now waiting until the time frame for public feedback on the mall revitalisation project closes on February 16.
