South West Rocks now has a new attraction, with the $380,000 elevated boardwalk at Point Briner now complete
The 130-metre-long path provides a scenic route between Horseshoe Bay and Back Creek.
“We’ve seen people that would probably never have been able to walk out, enjoy this wonderful wonderful view, come along in their walkers with wheelchairs we’ve had along here, scooters,” Kempsey Shire Mayor Liz Campbell said.
Construction proved quite the challenge, with each concrete footing needing to be hand-poured onto the rocky terrain.
