It’s hoped more babies will go on to live long and healthy lives, thanks to the donation of a new brain monitor and seizure detection software to the John Hunter Children’s Hospital.
“Up until recently we’ve been dependent on watching a baby and saying have they got those signs, now we can watch the baby but pick up the signs on a monitor as well and hopefully diagnose a seizures treat the condition and follow those babies up long term”
The $37,000 piece of equipment was donated after fundraising efforts by Variety, and Woolworths.
