A 42-year-old man was refused bail in Tamworth local court today after he allegedly robbed an 84-year-old man in the car park of a club on Marius Street yesterday morning.
Just after 10 o’clock the man, demanded money from the elderly man, claiming he had a gun.
A struggle followed, and the younger man got away with the victim’s wallet.
A short time later, police arrested and charged a 42-year-old man.
He was also charged in connection to an armed robbery at a liquor store on Brisbane Street on Saturday night.
