WARMER WEATHER PROVES A PROBLEM FOR POUND

Responsible pet-owners have come out in droves to ensure their four-legged friends are microchipped, and their vaccinations up-to-date.
A free event put on by the RSPCA and Tamworth Regional Council aims to keep pets out of the pound.
And if they do end up there, it aims to see them reunited with their owners quickly.
“The warmer weather does increase it, female dogs are on heat so male dogs are out wandering. So yes, we do get a bit of an increase of those dogs coming into the pound that are found,” Ross White, Senior Ranger, Tamworth Regional Council.
