One of the state’s rising lawn bowls stars is among a field of more than 1,000 players hitting the greens in Port Macquarie this week.
Sarah Boddington was in fine form this morning as she represented the Bomaderry club in the 83rd annual state carnival.
The 19-year-old young gun is the current New South Wales open singles champion, and a member of the national development squad.
The size of the carnival means matches are being played at seven bowling clubs throughout the Hastings.
The top 20 teams will return to Port City club tomorrow for the playoffs.
