Richmond Police District has welcomed five new probationary constables today for their first day on the job.
Two of the new recruits will be stationed at Casino, two at Lismore and one at Ballina.
“They’re very excited to start on their journey. We’ve got a very good mix of people that have decided to join us up here – the next 12 months will be challenging for them but we’re confident they’ll get through all their training,” Richmond PD District Commander, Superintendent Scott Tanner, said.
One new constable has joined the Tweed Police District.
