BALLINA HOSTS ABORIGINAL HEALTH CONFERENCE

Aboriginal health workers are calling for a national approach to closing the gap in Australia.

Around 150 health professionals are currently in Ballina, for this year’s National Aboriginal Wellbeing Conference.

“We’re looking at things like drugs, alcohol. We’re looking at things like lateral violence. We’ve got a whole group of really great inspirational speakers coming today and tomorrow as well talking about their stories.”

The two-day conference wraps up tomorrow.
