DRIVER CAUGHT MORE THAN SEVEN TIMES OVER LEGAL ALCOHOL LIMIT

A 35-year-old woman has been charged for high-range drink driving, after an accident with a road sign at Port Stephens.
The woman was seen by locals driving in an erratic manner, moments before colliding with a give-way sign at the intersection of Lemon Tree Passage Road and Fairlands Road, Mallabula.
After the collision, she continued driving to an address in Mallabula, and upon stopping the vehicle, fell from the driver’s seat on to the road-way.
Police attended, and the woman returned a positive breath test reading of 0.370, which is 7.5 times the legal limit.
She was arrested and returned to Lemon Tree Passage Police Station, where her license was suspended.
The woman will face Raymond Terrace Court next month.
