A strengthened Tamworth Blues side, will face Cessnock this Sunday in the Country Shield.
Batsmen Adam Lole and Ben Middlebrook will return from the War Veterans Cup, to boost the home side’s top order.
While wicketkeeper Matt Everett will also be back in Blues uniform.
“We think we’ve got the team to go through to the finals this year, and if we got rained out, it’d definitely be disappointing. So hopefully we get a bit of good weather and we can go on and make the finals.”
A win at the weekend will see the Blues host the semi final in two weeks.
