The Liverpool Plains Shire Council will now seek to find a solution to traffic disruptions caused by level rail crossings across the region.
The issue was raised following a number of complaints from residents, particularly in Werris Creek.
Their main concern was the crossing at the southern end of the town where there is currently no detour available.
Residents are now being urged to contact council if they experience any delays of longer than two minutes at any level rail crossing throughout the shire.
