Coffs Harbour International Stadium’s upgrade achieved a new milestone today, complete with safety vests and hard hats.
The sod was turned on stage-two of the $14-million upgrade. The works include new grandstands and venue wide-improvements, in a bid to keep Coffs Harbour on the sporting map.
“The international stadium is delivering for our region in spades, its filling our room nights when otherwise they would be empty. The councils event strategy has been hugely successful, in generating increased economic activity.”
Sports tourism contributes $30-million into the local economy each year.
