Six players from Newcastle and Hunter Rugby have been selected in the Country Cockatoo Colts training squad, for the 2016 Southern States Championships.
The likes of Phil Bradford and Hamish Lorang from Wanderers and Sam Rouse from Merewether made the 33-man list, and will now attend a training camp in Sydney in November, which will feature an internal trial game.
A 25-strong squad for the championships will be decided by late January.
