VOLKSWAGEN TEAM TAKE OUT WORLD RALLY CAR TITLE

Sebastien Ogier has finally taken out the world rally car championship after winning the French Rally with co-driver Julien Ingrassia.
The Volkswagen Polo team was the toast of Coffs Harbour last month when they won Rally Australia but narrowly missed out on the points needed for the world title.
They dashed home in the Rally de France to finish 12.02 seconds ahead of Citroen’s Dani Sordo and another Polo driven by Jari-Matti Latvala in third spot.
Ogier described his first championship win as a dream come true and said it was a marvellous honour to win in front of his home country crowd.
