Norths have lost the Hunter Central Coast Hockey League grand final in a nailbiter – the defending premiers going down to Gosford 2-1 in the decider.
Gosford had the best early chances, but couldn’t find a way past Shaun O’Brien.
That was until just before halftime, when Rhiley Carr slotted one in off a penalty corner.
Brett Giffin made it 2-0 just minutes later.
The Blues pegged one back with a minute to go – then missed a chance to equalise after the siren.
