AKOOSTIK FESTIVAL SET TO GROW IN 2018

Wingham’s Acoustic festival is just around the corner but next years festival is already set to be bigger and better.
Today the event received $20-thousand from the federal government’s Build Better Regions funding program.
“That will build an economic driver to grow the economy in the regional area that’s applying for it,” said Federal Member for Lyne, Dr. David Gillespie.
They’ll be using the funds to grow the festival through targeted marketing.
Aiming to bring an extra 2-thousand people to next years event.
“We just really want more tourists to come to the area and see all the wonderful things that we have and really get to know what the Manning Valley is like, and shop locally, spend locally and stay local,” said festival co-ordinator Donna Ballard.
