BACK TO BUSINESS FOR TAREE LIFELINE STORE

The Taree Lifeline store will soon reopen, four months after it was damaged in the March floods.

More than a metre of water swept through the store, wiping out clothes and furniture.

With new carpet and a fresh coat of paint, staff and volunteers are ready to welcome back customers.

A recruitment meeting was held today for volunteers, old and new.

“We’ve had heaps of help from all our volunteers and a lot of new volunteers are coming in today to help us to sign up, we’ve had lots of support from the community too with their donations,” Store manager Alene Schutte said.

The store reopens on July 31.
