A nine year old boy has been killed in a tragic accident just north of Kyogle.
The child was climbing a tree at a property on Roseberry Creek Road at about six o’clock last night, when he fell and was impaled by a stick.
Despite desperate attempts by family members and police to revive the boy, he died at the scene before ambulance crews arrived.
The child’s family is undergoing counselling.
