55 familiar faces will be on display from tomorrow at the Lismore Regional Art Gallery.
The individual pieces, featuring local residents, are all vying for the third annual Northern Rivers Portrait Prize.
The paintings have been shortlisted from 117 entries from across the region.
“The judge this year is Del Kathryn Barton who has been in the archibald a few times and was a winner last year with her self portrait and her children.”
The winning artist will take home a $10 000 cash prize and have their masterpiece permanently displayed at the gallery.
