A meeting to discuss the future planning of Taree’s Manning Base Hospital will be held next month with officials from Hunter New England Health.
It comes after the hospital missed out on several rounds of government funding because no clinical services plan is in place.
Greater Taree Mayor Paul Hogan has organised the meeting, hoping it will kickstart a plan and help identify the hospital’s priorities.
Representatives from the Great Lakes and Gloucester councils will attend, as well as local doctors.
The meeting will be held on December 9 at the Manning Base Hospital.
