Former Hockeyroo Shelly Andrews is hoping to use her experience and expertise to improve coaching in the Hunter.
The Olympic and Commonwealth Games gold medallist recently completed a high performance review with Hockey New South Wales, after spending six years coaching in London.
She believes the key to success is combining resources across a range of sports.
What is under utilised in coaching is tapping into other coaches as a resource. If you can bring that network together and do a lot of information sharing and brain storming I think you can be more effective as a coach.
