Young woman killed and a man seriously injured after shark attack near Port Maquarie

A nightmare has unfolded off the mid north coast, with a young woman dead and a man badly injured, after a shark attack near Port Macquarie.

The pair – believed to be European tourists – were swimming at a remote beach… paramedics say the quick actions of a bystander may just have saved the man’s life.
