Financial support is now available for flood impacted schools in the Northern Rivers with the state government announcing public school teachers will be able to access up to $1000, while students will be able to access $500, to replace education materials.
But, with 11 Catholic schools and 7 Independent across the Far North Coast, private schools say they’ve been flood affected too.
The Department of Education says they’re responsible for funding and operating public schools and that the Association of Independent Schools and Catholic Schools New South Wales are supporting their own sector.
