MAN DIES, FOUR INJURED IN TELARAH ACCIDENT

A Hunter Valley worksite has been closed for two days at least, after a man was killed and four others suffered serious injuries.

Steel rails and sleepers were being lifted into place by a large crane when tragedy struck, and the beams rolled onto the workers.

It’s believed a 47-year-old man lost a leg in the accident.

  1. Lets hope that this accident was not related to the complacency of upper management towards safety in the workplace. Safety might cost money but injuries and deaths in the workplace cost a whole lot more.
    Even in todays workplaces workers are still rated as statistics in the cost of construction and not regarded as valued members of society, families and companies all having the same desire to do a good job, enjoy their lives and be happy and safe whilst doing so.
    Australians need to have a real good think about the integrity we have for each other in every thing we do and please take time to pray for the families that have been affected by this and all other workplace accidents.
