Over the border and a man is recovering in hospital after losing his leg in a motorcycle crash at Currumbin.
Emergency crews, including from the Tweed, were called to Tomewin Street around midday.
The man in his 60s was airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
