Richmond Valley Council has made camping free at the Casino showgrounds, to attract visitors to the region.
Travellers with caravans or motor homes can book a spot at the showgrounds for a maximum of 48 hours, completely free of charge.
The venue can accommodate 12 vehicles at a time.
