Tributes are flowing for a rugby referee who passed away during a match at Lennox Head.
58-year-old Ian Hooper suffered a heart attack and collapsed seven minutes into the senior reserve game between Ballina and Lennox Head.
He was taken to hospital, but sadly passed away overnight.
